Bios

• Kris Evans

  DVM

  Dr. Evans is a 2000 graduate of Michigan State University. He was an associate veterinarian at Bloomington Animal Hospital for 3 years until leaving to pursue additional training at the Ontario Veterinary College. In 2004 he returned to Minnesota to rejoin the Bloomington team. Dr. Evans is a member of the AVMA and the Emergency Critical Care Society. His professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery as well as cardiology. In his personal time he enjoys reading, video games and ice hockey. Dr. Evans currently resides in South St. Paul with his wife, 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 turtles, and several fish!.

• Samantha Winkels

  DVM

  Dr. Winkels grew up in Rochester, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota Veterinary college in 2009. She completed a year long internship at VCA Veterinary Care and Referral Center in Albuquerque, NM where she gained a lot of valuable experience. "I enjoyed the Albuquerque sunshine but am glad to be back in my home state." Dr. Winkels' has an interest in surgery and feline medicine but enjoys all animals. She has three cats named Dagny, Gypsy, and Tristan. When she is not at work she enjoys baking, sewing, going to movies, horseback riding, camping, and fishing.

• Jean Geske

  DVM

  Dr. Geske received her degree from the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School in 1987. Her first two years of practice, she worked with the United States Army in Germany. After she returned, she worked at Bloomington Veterinary Hospital for two years. She spent the next 19 years practicing in Richfield. In September 2010, Dr. Geske transferred from VCA Animal Care in Richfield to become Medical Director at VCA Bloomington Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Geske has a special interest in Dermatology and Internal Medicine. She also hosts "Ask the Vet" a weekly radio show on WCCO radio. Her spare time is devoted to her daughters and 3 pets.

• Jennifer Gallus

  DVM

  Dr. Gallus is a 2012 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to entering the field of veterinary medicine, she worked as an occupational therapist in metro area hospitals and continues to work at Regions Hospital in her spare time. Dr. Gallus enjoys general practice, particularly the relationships she builds with her clients and their pets. . Dr. Gallus shares her home with two entertaining basset hounds, Barkley and Millie, her favorite cat, Chew, and her partner Mike. In her spare time, she loves to spend time outdoors, read, travel and try new restaurants.
